CommunityOven helps churches, VFWs, clubs, and other nonprofits turn their idle commercial kitchens into a reliable monthly income stream — with zero administrative burden on your staff.
We handle the matchmaking, the legal paperwork, the payments, and the compliance monitoring. You focus on your mission or your food.
Every kitchen is different. CommunityOven matches the right space to the right concept, from a church prep kitchen to a VFW hall with a full bar.
* Estimated starting price. Final pricing based on kitchen size, days of use, and utility costs. We'll walk you through everything when we connect.
Everything you need to know before getting started.
Yes — the kitchen needs to meet NJ Department of Health standards for commercial food production. Most kitchens in churches, VFWs, and similar venues already qualify. We'll walk you through a simple checklist during onboarding.
Our NJ attorney-drafted contracts include liability provisions, and we coordinate insurance coverage as part of every arrangement. Your organization is protected before the first person walks through the door.
Entrepreneurs pay CommunityOven monthly through our platform. We deduct a small platform fee and deposit the remainder directly to your organization. No chasing checks, no awkward conversations.
Baked goods, sauces and condiments, meal prep, catering prep, pop-up dining, cooking classes, and more. We review each concept during intake to make sure it's a good fit for the kitchen and the host organization.
Not necessarily. We work with 501(c)(3) nonprofits, 501(c)(7) social clubs, veterans organizations, fraternal orders, and hunting and sportsmen's clubs. If your organization has a commercial kitchen sitting idle, reach out and we'll figure out if it's a fit.
Both parties commit to a minimum 3-month arrangement. This gives food entrepreneurs enough runway to actually build their business, and gives nonprofits predictable recurring revenue rather than one-off weekend rentals.
